Hamlet Homes cares about the health and well-being of our employees. Our benefits plans reflect this and offer our employees competitive options. As plans and eligibility may vary depending on position, this summary is intended to provide a general overview of many of our plans. A complete summary of applicable specific benefit plans will be provided during the employment process.

Protecting Your Health

Medical & Dental Insurance. Hamlet Homes is committed to providing quality health care benefits that are affordable for employees and the company. Our medical plan is a point of service plan and includes pharmaceutical coverage. Our dental coverage is a comprehensive plan with orthodontia. A vision care plan is available for expenses associated with routine eye examinations and discounted contact lenses and glasses.

Both the full family coverage Medical and Dental insurance plan premiums are 50% company paid the first year and completely company paid thereafter.

Insuring Your Life and Income

Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance. Employees may select and pay for life insurance coverage at group rates. Employees also have the opportunity to select and pay for life insurance in various coverage amounts for a spouse and/or dependents. Employees may select and pay for AD&D insurance in various coverage amounts for themselves and/or spouse/dependents.

Time Off for Illness or Disability. Employees may select and pay for Long Term Disability Insurance providing employees whose illness or disability extends beyond 90 calendar days are provided with benefits under our disability plan. Employees may also select and pay for Short term Disability Insurance that will cover the first 90 days of disability. Various types of leaves of absence are also available to employees, including family/medical, military, or personal.

Balancing Your Life and Work

Reimbursement Accounts. These accounts allow employees to contribute money on a before-tax basis to cover eligible expenses, per Internal Revenue Service guidelines. There are two accounts: the Health Care Account for health care expenses for employees and dependents, and/or a Dependent Care Account for child care expenses employees incur while at work.

Employee Assistance Program. Hamlet Homes provides, at no cost to employees participating in our Medical Insurance plan a program to help manage the demands of everyday life. This assistance includes consultations, referrals and educational services to help keep work and life balanced.

Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holidays. Paid time off includes vacation days as well as personal days. PTO eligibility per year depends on employees' length of service. In addition, Hamlet Homes recognizes eight company holidays for eligible employees: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Pioneer Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Tuition Reimbursement Plan. Hamlet Homes is committed to employees' personal development. In addition to an extensive in-house curriculum, employees are encouraged to further their education at any accredited institution and are eligible for tuition reimbursement for related expenses after one year of employment.

Saving for Your Future

Retirement and Savings Plan. Employees may participate in this plan by electing to contribute up to 20 percent of their pay to a pre-tax 401(k) plan. After 90 days of service, Hamlet Homes will match 25 percent of each before-tax dollar contributed per pay period.

Profit Sharing Plan. Each year Hamlet Homes may share year end profits with employees through additional contributions to your 401K plan.

Home Purchase and Mortgage Discounts

Hamlet Homes offers discounts to employees for purchasing a Hamlet home as well as originating mortgages through its sister company Stirling Mortgage.
